As the summer heat intensifies, there’s nothing more satisfying than a clean, cold, and refreshing lager. However, the increased demand can put a strain on tank space and brewing schedules. At Yeast Canada, we understand these challenges and are here to help brewers meet the summer rush with our new proprietary thermotolerant yeast strain, High Voltage.

No Kveik Signature, Just Pure Flavour
High Voltage is not a Kveik blend, so you won’t encounter the typical Kveik flavours in your finished beer. Moreover, this yeast flocculates well, ensuring that your beer is not hazy—a common issue with other pseudo-lager yeasts.
Real-World Success
We’ve seen great success with High Voltage in practical applications. For instance, Bar Volo in Toronto used it to brew Pausa, a pseudo-lager. They pitched the yeast at 22°C, controlled it at 24°C, and completed fermentation in just four days. After a ten-day cold crash and conditioning period, they achieved a beer with amazing crisp lager vibes in just two weeks
For the Traditionalists: APRES SKI and EINSTEIN Yeast Strains
For those who prefer traditional lager yeast, we offer two exceptional strains:
Brewers’ tip : Both strains work best between 8-16°C. Pitching at higher temperatures or gradually increasing the temperature during fermentation will shorten tank occupation time.
Apres Ski Dehydrated – 500 G
Our newest lager strain, straight from the Swiss Alps. Produces lagers with high sessionability. The lagers in general are clean and slightly floral and fruity. With low ester production and good flocculation, it represents an excellent house lager strain option.
Einstein Dehydrated – 500 G
A German Lager yeast that has it characterized by a clean profile, low ester formation during fermentation and medium sulphur production. A good bottom fermenting yeast strain for cold fermentation A great choice for all lager styles.
